Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches was recently featured as an industry expert on the nationally televised program Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid to recognize our work fostering some of Arkansas’s most vulnerable children. Watch the video below to learn more about how the Ranch is making a difference in the lives of these children.
Founded by the sheriffs of Arkansas in 1976, Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches has provided hope, healing, and a home to thousands of children from every corner of the state. Children who have been abused, neglected, and abandoned come to the Ranch through no fault of their own and simply need a safe, loving place to call home.

Boys and girls live in large family homes with loving houseparents who raise them like their own on our beautiful 600-acre campus. Our transformative foster care program provides every child with proper health care, educational opportunities, and the opportunity to gain real-life skills caring for cattle, pigs, and other animals in the Ranch’s educational farm program.
The Ranch gives boys and girls who have experienced trauma a second chance to be a kid. We also give them the stability and resources they need to thrive and grow into a caring, responsible young men and women.
The Ranch is a 100% free service to children in crisis and constantly receives calls looking for an open bed. There is always a waiting list. So to meet this need, the Ranch is expanding and hiring additional houseparents. As a private 501c3 nonprofit organization that is 100% privately funded, we need your help to continue this important work!
