"It is better to build a child than to repair an adult"

It is our belief that every child has a birthright to health care, educational opportunities, a safe home and a loving environment with people who care for him or her. Whether in a residential setting or the outreach services division, programs at the Ranch are designed to provide each child with the opportunities and tools he needs to recognize his individual assets and work to achieve his goals.

Children in the residential program are there because they have been abused, neglected, abandoned or need additional supervision. In the outreach services division , the Ranch works with families to help prevent the need for out-of-home placement. The goal of the Ranch’s program is to provide loving care with therapeutic intervention, because we believe, "It is better to build a child than to repair an adult."

The Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches could not exist without the help of interested and generous donors. It is a grassroots organization with support in each of the state’s 75 counties. Approximately 97% of all funding comes from non-governmental sources, including a donor base of nearly 48,000. Ranch supporters from across the state represent virtually every socio-economic class, cultural or ethnic background or religious affiliation.

Through their generous support, our donors have shown that they also care about abused and neglected children and are willing to invest their time, talents and treasures to give our children hope for a brighter tomorrow. There are lots of ways you too can help. Please join with us today!

Membership Program

Become an important part of our family and join us in helping children. You may become an honorary member of the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches by sending a $25 Donation. You will receive a membership card, a bumper sticker for your automobile, a subscription to the Ranch Report newsletter and a warm feeling knowing you are helping a deserving child.

Hope Builders

The long-term approach to creating lasting solutions to child abuse and neglect, as well as the ability to provide children with permanent home environments, requires ongoing support from people who believe in our work. That’s why we’re asking you to give a regularly scheduled donation.

Hope Builders is a program that is an ideal way for caring people to express ongoing concern for Arkansas’ abused, neglected and abandoned children. The program helps children in need by providing consistent income to meet monthly needs at the Ranch. It also saves resources the Ranch would otherwise be forced to use to raise money for on-going monthly needs.

Members of our Hope Builder program receive the Ranch Report and a consolidated annual gift statement for tax purposes. As one of the Ranch’s regular supporters, you’ll be with us shoulder-to-shoulder, month after month, helping us ensure that our children have the loving environment they deserve and the tools they need to succeed.

Whatever the gift size, it’s easy to arrange for a monthly or quarterly charge to your credit card, or a monthly or quarterly bank draft.

Tribute Giving – Memorials & Honorariums

Memorials – Remembering family or friends through a memorial gift is a special tribute to their lives. It can be a heartfelt way to ensure that the values they held dear will live on in future generations.

Honorariums – Gifts made in honor of loved ones at times such as Mother’s Day or Father’s Day; at the birth of a child or grandchild; or on a birthday, wedding anniversary, graduation or any other occasion also can be reminders to friends and family how much you care.

A nice acknowledgement card will be sent to those honored or the families of those remembered. Please see our donation form for the required information or call 870-793-6841 x2-8.

Homestead Legacy Society – Planned Gifts

Provisions may be made in the form of bequests; charitable trusts and gift annuities; gifts of life insurance policies; life estates and contingency gifts.
